AMCS student Samuel Brensinger has been awarded the prestigious 2020 D.C. Spriestersbach Distinguished Dissertation Prize from the Graduate College in the Mathematical, Physical Sciences and Engineering in recognition of the excellence of his doctoral dissertation: “Projective Gauge Gravity.” The winner of the Spriestersbach Dissertation Prize receives $2,500 and is selected as the University of Iowa's nominee in the national competition for the 2020 Council of Graduate Schools/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award.
